Corn Bread
Corn Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. yellow corn meal, 1 c. self-rising flour, 1 dash or 1/2 tsp. salt, 4 tsp. baking powder and 1 egg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Mix dry goods in a medium bowl.
Soften shortening in the baking pan or iron skillet in oven at 300°.
Pour into the bowl with the dry goods.
Turn oven to 425°.
Add egg and milk.
Stir. Pour into pan/skillet.
Bake at 425° for 20 to 25 minutes until golden on top.
