Cooked Squash is an easy dinner. Made with 6 medium yellow squash, 4 thinly sliced pieces of pork side (fatback) and 1 medium chopped onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Fry pork side in a skillet over low/medium heat until tender. (This is to season the squash.)
Saute onion lightly in skillet with pork.
Remove pork from skillet and add cut squash in about 1/8-inch thick slices.
Cover with water.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
