Cook While You Sleep Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 egg whites, pinch of salt, 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar, 2/3 c. sugar and 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Beat egg whites until foamy, add salt and cream of tartar and beat until stiff.
Add sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time, beating well after each addition.
Stir in vanilla, nuts and chocolate morsels (Nestle).
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet lined with aluminum foil.
Put in oven and turn off heat immediately.
Do not open door for at least 8 hours.
Carefully remove cookies from foil.
Yields about 40 or 50 cookies.
