Congo Bars
Congo Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2/3 c. melted shortening, 3 eggs, 2 1/4 c. brown sugar, 2 3/4 c. flour and 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Cream together shortening, eggs and sugar.
Add flour, baking powder and salt; mix well.
Stir in nuts and chips.
Line a 9 x 13 cake pan with wax paper.
Pour into pan (you may have to add a little hot water to make it pour).
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 40 minutes.
