Confetti Corn Bread
Confetti Corn Bread is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. sifted flour, 4 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. salt, 1/8 tsp. pepper and 1 tbsp. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, sugar, thyme, sage and marjoram.
Add corn meal and stir to blend.
Saute onions, celery, green pepper and pimento in shortening.
To flour mixture, add sauteed vegetables with shortening, eggs and milk.
Stir until well blended.
Pour into well-greased 9-inch square pan.
Bake in hot 400Β° oven for 30 minutes.
