Communion Bread
Communion Bread is an easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. yeast, 1 1/2 tbsp. molasses, 1 2/3 c. whole wheat flour, 1 c. white flour and 7/8 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Mix flour and yeast in a bowl.
Mix molasses and water in a separate container.
Slowly add the water to the flour while mixing.
I use a large Kitchen Aid mixer because I have one, but mixing by hand is just as good.
Add more water if dough is too dry.
Knead.
My mixer with a dough hook takes about five minutes.
Allow dough to rise in a Pam-coated, covered bowl until about double in size.
