Cocoons
Cocoons is an easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter, 2/3 c. confectioners sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 c. flour and 1 c. chopped walnuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Cream butter and 1/3 cup sugar until light and fluffy.
Add vanilla.
Blend flour in gradually.
Add nuts.
Pinch off small quantities and shape into 1 1/2-inch cocoons with palms of hands. Place 1 inch apart on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350Β° for 12 minutes or until cocoons dry out.
While still warm, roll in remaining 1/3 cup of sugar.
Makes 3 dozen.
