Cocoa Pie
Cocoa Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. cocoa, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. cornstarch or flour, 2 c. milk and 3 eggs, separated, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Mix cocoa, cornstarch, egg yolks, salt, milk and sugar in saucepan.
Cook until thick, stirring constantly.
Cool and pour into baked pie shell.
Beat egg whites until foamy.
Add sugar, a tablespoon at a time, and beat until stiff peaks are formed. Spread over cooked filling.
Bake at 350Β° for about 12 minutes or until light golden brown.
Cool before serving.
