Claudine's Butter Icing
Claudine'S Butter Icing is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 tbsp. cornstarch, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 c. milk, 1 c. sugar and 1/2 c. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix cornstarch, salt and milk in small saucepan.
Cook until thick, (stirring). Cool. Cream the sugar, butter, Crisco and vanilla.
Add cooked and cooled mix and beat until it looks like whipped cream, thickened.
Enough to ice a large layer cake.
