Citrus Berry Sherbet
Citrus Berry Sherbet is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 envelope orange gelatin, juice of 3 oranges (1 c.), 1/4 c. sugar, grated peel and juice of 1 lemon and 1 1/2 c. fresh strawberries or boysenberries, mashed (no sugar added) or frozen strawberries or boysenberries, thawed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Soften gelatin in orange and lemon juices.
Add lemon peel and sugar.
Stir over low heat until gelatin and sugar are dissolved; cool.
Stir in strawberries and applesauce.
Pour into a shallow pan and freeze until firm, about 4 hours.
