Cinnamon Rolls
Cinnamon Rolls is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. flour, 1/4 c. sugar, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. lemon peel and 1 pkg. dry yeast, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
In a large bowl, mix 1 cup flour, sugar, lemon peel, salt and dry yeast.
Combine milk and oleo in saucepan.
Heat over low heat until milk is warm (120° to 130°).
Oleo does not need to melt. Add to the dry ingredients.
Beat for 2 minutes at medium speed of mixer.
Add egg and 1/3 cup flour.
Beat at high speed for 2 minutes. Stir in enough flour (about 1 2/3 cups) to make a soft dough.
Turn out onto floured board.
Knead dough about 5 to 10 minutes.
Cover and let rest for 20 minutes.
