Cinnamon Biscuits
Cinnamon Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sifted flour, 3 tbsp. sugar, 4 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/2 c. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Sift together dry ingredients.
Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add milk all at once, stir only until dough follows fork.
Turn out on lightly floured surfaces, knead 1/2 minute.
Roll out to 1/4-inch thickness.
Pour butter on.
Combine sugar and cinnamon.
Sprinkle on top.
Roll up jelly roll fashion and cut into 12 pieces.
Place in muffin cups and bake at 425Β° about 10 to 15 minutes.
