Chocolate Scotchroos
Chocolate Scotchroos is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1 c. light corn syrup, 1 c. peanut butter, 6 c. rice krispies and 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips (i use milk chocolate), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Combine sugar and syrup in a large heavy saucepan and cook over medium heat until it boils, stirring often.
Remove from heat and mix in peanut butter.
Add cereal; pat into 9 x 13-inch buttered pan.
Melt chips together in double boiler and spread over bars.
Cut into bars and cool in fridge.
