Chocolate Refrigerator Cake
Chocolate Refrigerator Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 pkg. german sweet chocolate, 4 1/2 tbsp. confectioners sugar, 6 eggs, separated, pinch of salt and 1 1/2 c. whipping cream, whipped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Melt chocolate and sugar in double boiler; set aside.
Beat yolks.
Beat whites until stiff.
Add yolks, salt, 1 1/2 cups of whipped cream and beaten egg whites to chocolate mixture.
Pour 1/2 of this mixture into torte pan lined with ladyfingers.
Add more ladyfingers, then add remaining mixture.
Top with remaining whipped cream.
Chill well.
Yield
12 to 15 servings.
