Chocolate Pie
Chocolate Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. milk, 3/4 c. sugar, 3 egg yolks, 2 tbsp. butter and 3 egg whites (save for meringue), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Mix dry ingredients (sugar, flour, cocoa and salt), then add milk slowly.
Beat well until smooth.
Cook over hot water until thick.
Add egg yolks and cook 5 minutes over hot water, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Add butter and vanilla.
Cool, then pour into baked pie shell.
Cover with meringue; bake at 325Β° for 20 minutes until slightly browned.
