Chocolate Chip Chilled Dessert
Chocolate Chip Chilled Dessert is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 angel food cake, baked, 1 pt. whipping cream, whipped, 1 tsp. vanilla, 2 eggs, separated and 2 c. (12 oz.) chocolate chips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Melt chocolate chips in double boiler; add egg yolks and mix well.
Beat egg whites until stiff; add sugar and vanilla.
Add nuts and fold in whipped cream.
Break cake into pieces.
Put 1/2 of cake pieces in 9 X 13 pan and pour 1/2 of chocolate mixture over.
Put remainder of cake pieces on top, then remainder of chocolate mixture.
Chill 6 to 8 hours.
Serves 12 to 15.
