Chocolate Applesauce Cake
Chocolate Applesauce Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 3/4 c. shortening, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 2 c. flour and 1 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Mix flour, soda, cinnamon, allspice, cocoa, salt and cloves. Add alternately with applesauce in shortening and sugar mixture. Add raisins and nuts.
Bake in oblong pan at 350Β° for 35 minutes or until done.
