Chilled Cherry Soup
Chilled Cherry Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. cherries, halved and pitted, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 pt. double or heavy cream, 1 tbsp. flour and 1/2 c. red wine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cook the cloves, salt, sugar, cinnamon and the juice of the lemon for 1/2 hour in the water.
Drain, reserving the liquid.
Add the wine.
Blend the flour well with the cream and add to the liquid.
Bring to the boil.
Add the cherries, reserving some for garnish.
Bring to the boil again.
Serve chilled.
Decorate with whipped cream and cherries.
