Chili Rellenos
Chili Rellenos is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 can green ortega chili peppers, 1 (7 oz.) can green ortega salsa, 1 lb. jack cheese, grated, 4 eggs and 1 large can condensed milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Grate cheeses and mix.
If using whole peppers, they must be washed and drained (remove seeds).
In a separate bowl, beat eggs, milk, flour and salt together.
Use a very large shallow casserole or two smaller ones.
Put half cheese mixture in dish.
Layer peppers, then add remaining cheese.
Pour egg mixture over it. Bake at 350Β° for 40 minutes.
Add salsa sauce on top and bake 15 minutes more.
