Chicken Stew
Chicken Stew is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) stewing hen, 1 medium onion, chopped, 3 chicken bouillon cubes, garlic powder and 2 bay leaves, broken, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Cut chicken in pieces.
Cover with water and bring to a boil. Add onion, bouillon cubes, garlic powder, bay leaves, parsley flakes, salt and pepper.
Cook until chicken is done.
Remove chicken.
Remove skin and debone.
Return to broth and add beans, corn, cubed potatoes and mixed vegetables.
Simmer 1 hour or so. Serve over biscuits or make dumplings and drop by spoonfuls into boiling broth.
