Chicken Scala
Chicken Scala is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in just 38 minutes. Made with skinned and boned chicken breasts, flour, vegetable oil, beef consomme and to 1 c. sour cream, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Flour chicken breasts and brown in oil. Drain fat from pan and add consomme to chicken; simmer 25 to 30 minutes.
Add 1/2 to 1 cup sour cream to make a creamy sauce. Add several shakes of black pepper.
Put chicken and sauce in baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese and brown under broiler.
