Chicken and Dumplings
Chicken And Dumplings is an easy dinner. Made with 1 whole chicken, cut up, 2 to 4 c. flour, 1 to 2 c. water, 1/2 stick butter and salt and pepper to taste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Salt the chicken and cook until done.
Save the broth.
Take the chicken off the bones and put into the broth.
Add butter. Mix together the flour and water.
May have to add more flour or water to make a stiff dough.
Roll out thin and cut into strip and pinch off dough about the size of walnut.
Drop into boiling broth.
Let cook 5 to 10 minutes, add some sweet milk.
Let cook until tender and add some black pepper to taste.
