Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Melt butter in an 8-inch square pan over low heat.
Take off stove.
Beat eggs.
Combine sugar, flour, soda and nuts and stir into beaten eggs.
Add vanilla.
Pour mixture over butter.
Do not stir!
Bake 25 minutes.
Turn out of pan onto rack.
Cut into squares and dust with powdered sugar.
