Chewy Chocolate Cookies
Chewy Chocolate Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/4 c. butter, softened, 2 c. sugar, 2 tsp. vanilla, 2 c. unsifted self-rising flour and 3/4 c. cocoa, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cream butter and sugar in a large bowl.
Add eggs and vanilla, blending well.
Combine flour and cocoa and blend into creamed mixture.
Stir in nuts.
Drop by rounded teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350Β° for 8 to 9 minutes.
Do not overbake. Cookies will be soft.
They will puff during baking and flatten upon cooling.
Cool on sheet until set, about 1 minute.
Yields 4 dozen.
