Cherry Pie
Cherry Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 can red cherries (no pie filling), 1 heaping tbsp. cornstarch, 1 heaping c. sugar, 3/4 stick oleo and dash of salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Start cold.
Drain juice from cherries into 1-quart pan.
Mix cornstarch (sprinkle).
Stir well.
Then under low-medium heat, add sugar and oleo.
Stir in dash of salt, then add cherries. Stir in lemon.
Put in uncooked pie shell.
Cover with additional pie strips or slit top if using whole shell.
Bake at 400Β° until golden brown, approximately 30 to 45 minutes.
