Cherry Cordial(Wisniowka)
Cherry Cordial(Wisniowka) is an easy dinner. Made with 4 lb. washed, ripe, dark pitted cherries, 2 qt. 100 proof vodka and 2 c. 190 proof grain alcohol (neutral spirits), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
π¨βπ³ Instructions
Place cherries and 1/5 of the pits in a gallon jar.
Pour in vodka and alcohol.
Seal tightly and store at room temperature 1 to 3 months, shaking occasionally.
Strain through cotton-filled funnel, adding 3/4 to 1 cup simple syrup.
Age mixture 4 to 6 weeks before serving.
For a drier cordial, increase the amount of vodka to taste.
