Cherry Cobbler
Cherry Cobbler is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. soft margarine, 1 c. sifted flour, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1 can red sour pitted cherries and 1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Preheat oven to 375Β°.
Cream butter and 1/2 cup sugar until fluffy.
Sift dry ingredients together in another bowl; add this alternately to creamed mixture with milk.
Beat until smooth. Pour into loaf pan or 2-quart casserole.
Spoon drained cherries over batter.
Sprinkle with sugar, 1/4 to 1/2 cup as needed per tartness of cherries.
Pour 1 cup fruit juice and water mixture over top.
Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, until top browns.
During baking, juice goes to bottom and cakelike layer comes to the top.
