Cherries In The Snow is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 egg whites, 1 c. sugar, 1 c. chopped nuts, 1 tub cool whip and 1/2 tbsp. cream of tartar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Butter a 9 x 13-inch glass pan. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar, adding sugar a little at a time, until stiff peaks form. Add vanilla, nuts and crushed soda crackers. Mix well. Place into pan and bake at 350Β° for 30 minutes.
Cool. Add Cool Whip making high peaks, and then add the cherries. Refrigerate any leftovers. Makes 8 large servings.
