Cheesy Corn Chowder
Cheesy Corn Chowder is an moderately easy dinner. Made with vegetable cooking spray, 3/4 c. sliced green onions, 1/2 c. chopped celery, 1/2 c. chopped sweet red pepper and 3 1/2 tbsp. all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Coat a large saucepan with cooking spray; place over medium heat until hot.
Add green onions, celery and sweet red pepper; saute until tender.
Combine flour and 1/2 cup milk; stir until smooth.
Add flour mixture, remaining 4 cups milk, corn, bouillon granules and ground pepper to vegetable mixture.
Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes.
Add cheese; cook, stirring constantly, until cheese melts.
Yield
6 cups (181 calories per 1 cup serving, 20% from fat).
