Cheeseburger Buns
Cheeseburger Buns is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 (1/4 oz.) pkg. active dry yeast, 1/2 c. warm water (115~), 1/2 c. warm milk (115~), 1/4 c. sugar and 1/4 c. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
In a mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water.
Add next 5 ingredients and 2 cups flour; beat until smooth.
Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough.
Turn onto floured surface; knead until smooth, about 4 to 6 minutes.
Place in a greased bowl.
Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled.
In a skillet, cook beef and onion until done; drain.
Stir in tomato sauce.
Punch down dough; divide into 16 pieces.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough into a 5-inch circle.
Top each circle with two pieces of cheese and 3 tablespoons beef mixture.
Bring dough over filling to center.
Pinch edges to seal.
Place seam side down on greased baking sheet.
Cover and let rise until doubled.
Bake at 400Β° for 8 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
