Cheese Date Pastries
Cheese Date Pastries is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 large pkg. pitted dates, chopped, 1 c. brown sugar, 1/2 c. water, 1 c. margarine and 8 oz. grated cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Cook dates, sugar and water over low heat, stirring constantly until soft.
Cream margarine and cheese together; blend in flour. Chill at least 1 hour (work with a small amount of dough at a time).
Roll 1/2-inch thick on lightly floured board; cut into rounds.
On half rounds, place 1 heaping teaspoon date filling. Cover each with another round of pastry.
Press edges together with fork.
Bake in 350Β° oven for 15 minutes.
