Cheese Biscuits
Cheese Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. all-purpose flour, 1 tbsp. plus 1 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. shortening and 1/2 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Combine first 3 ingredients in a mixing bowl; cut in shortening with a pastry blender until the mixture resembles coarse meal.
Add cheese and milk, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened.
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface; knead 8 to 10 times.
Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with a 2-inch biscuit cutter.
Place biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet.
