Marinate steaks with soy sauce and sprinkle with garlic powder.

Use fork with sharp tines to pierce meat, about a quarter of an inch as you sprinkle soy sauce on so it will penetrate meat. Let marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Get charcoal hot.
