Celery Casserole
Celery Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 c. celery, cut in 1-inch pieces, 1 (15 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, 1 small can (about 3 oz.) pimento, 1/4 c. toasted almonds and 1 can cream of chicken soup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Cook celery until crisp and tender, about 8 minutes.
Mix with water chestnuts, pimento, almonds and cream of chicken soup. Place in baking dish and bake in 350Β° oven for about 35 minutes. (Can be prepared ahead of time, just refrigerate until ready to bake, then put crumbs on top.) Recipe can be cut in half for smaller amount.
