Carolina Pound Cake
Carolina Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 sticks butter or margarine, 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 6 eggs and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Cream together the butter and cream cheese.
Beat in sugar with mixer on low.
Sift into another bowl the flour, salt, baking powder and nutmeg.
Beat two of the eggs into cream cheese mixture alternately with 1/3 of dry ingredients.
Continue same until all eggs and dried ingredients are used.
Beat thoroughly, adding vanilla.
Blend well.
Pour into waxed paper lined tube pan.
Bake at 300Β° for 1 1/2 hours.
