Caramel Corn
Caramel Corn is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. brown sugar, 1/2 lb. margarine, 1/2 tsp. white corn syrup, 1 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. or more vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Boil the first 5 ingredients together for 5 minutes at full boil.
Remove from heat quickly and thoroughly stir in 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda (this will change the consistency).
Pour mixture over popped corn; mix well.
(But be very careful, candy mixture is very hot and will burn fingers if touched.)
When well combined, bake in slow oven at 225° to 250° for 1 hour, stirring at 15 minute intervals.
Pour out to cool completely, then store in tight containers.
Keeps indefinitely.
