Boil butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add baking soda and vanilla (this should foam).

Pour over the popped corn.

Bake in a large, buttered/greased, shallow baking pan(s) at 250Β° for 1 hour.

Stir every 15 minutes and stir occasionally as it cools.
