Caramel Cake Icing
Caramel Cake Icing is an easy dinner. Made with 1 1/4 c. butter or margarine, 2 1/2 c. brown sugar, 3/4 c. milk, 2 1/2 tsp. vanilla and 6 1/4 c. sifted powdered sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Melt butter in saucepan.
Add brown sugar and bring to a boil. Add milk and bring to a boil again. Remove from heat.
Add vanilla and enough powdered sugar to make desired consistency. Beat several minutes and frost cool cake.
Makes enough icing for 2 cakes.
May keep in refrigerator.
