Candied Popcorn
Candied Popcorn is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. oil, 1 heaping c. popping corn, 1 stick margarine, 1 c. brown sugar and 1/4 c. karo syrup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Pop the corn in oil; set aside.
Boil for 5 minutes, 1 stick margarine, 1 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup Karo syrup and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Remove from heat after 5 minutes.
Add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda (mixture will become foamy).
Pour over popcorn in large baking pan.
Bake at 275Β° for 1/2 hour.
Stir every 10 minutes. Pour onto wax paper and cool.
(Peanuts, pecans or mixed nuts may be added; mix through popcorn before baking.)
