California Paella
California Paella is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. butter, 1/2 medium onion, chopped, 2 to 3 garlic cloves, 13 oz. chicken broth (canned is fine) and 1 pkg. rice pilaf, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Saute onion and garlic in butter until translucent in medium size pot.
Stir in broth; add water to make 2 cups (3 ounces).
Add rice and season packet.
Dump and stir.
Boil, cover, then simmer. Ten minutes before rice is ready, add shrimp; cover.
When shrimp and rice is done, add avocado*, tomato*, raisins*.
(*Do not cook these ingredients.)
Serve immediately with salad and French or Italian bread.
