Place dry cake mix in a large bowl, then add softened butter and egg. Blend thoroughly.

Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375Β° for 6 to 10 minutes. Makes 3 to 4 dozen 2-inch cookies or 12 to 15 (4-inch) cookies.
