Caesar Croutons
Caesar Croutons is an easy dinner. Made with bread, garlic olive oil and grated parmesan cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Prepare garlic olive oil one to several days in advance.
Slice 6 cloves of garlic lengthwise in quarters; let stand in 1 cup olive oil (or you may use salad oil or half of each).
Cut each slice of bread in 5 strips one way, then across 5 times to make squares. Cut enough bread to spread out on cookie sheet; pour a little garlic olive oil over the bread squares on cookie sheet.
Heat in extremely slow oven (225Β°) for 2 hours.
Croutons should be very dry.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Store in jar in refrigerator. Serve on salads or vegetables.
