Cabbage Salad
Cabbage Salad is an moderately easy salad you can prepare in about 1 hour 28 minutes. Made with large head cabbage, chopped, large onion, chopped, bell pepper, chopped, large carrots, shredded and c. sugar, divided, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
In a large bowl, layer cabbage, onion, bell pepper and carrots.
Sprinkle 1/2 cup of sugar over the vegetables; set aside.
In a saucepan, combine vinegar, remaining 1/2 cup sugar, oil and Nature's Seasons.
Bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes. Let cool.
Pour mixture over vegetables.
Cover and refrigerate 24 hours.
Stir well before serving.
(For a juicier salad, double the amounts of ingredients used in vinegar mixture.)
