Cabbage Casserole

Cabbage Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 small cabbage, 1/2 c. uncooked brown rice, 1 small onion, chopped, 1 lb. browned ground beef or turkey and 1 can healthy request tomato soup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

👨‍🍳 Instructions

Brown meat and onion.

Drain off fat.

Mix uncooked rice into meat.

In a greased 2-quart casserole or 9 x 13-inch pan, place chopped cabbage.

Top with meat and rice mixture.

Mix soup and purée together.

Thin with enough water to make a pourable topping. Season with desired herbs (I use basil, oregano, pepper and garlic powder).

Pour soup mix all over the top of the casserole.

Cover with foil and bake at 350° for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

If white rice is used, bake for 1 hour.
