Butterscotch Pie
Butterscotch Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. sugar, 1/4 c. water, 4 tbsp. butter, 1 3/4 c. scalded milk and 3 egg yolks, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Melt sugar; when melted, add water and butter and allow to dissolve.
Scald milk and add to mixture.
Beat egg yolks.
Add brown sugar, cornstarch, salt and cold milk.
Add mixture to hot mixture.
Cook on low heat until thickened, stirring constantly. Cool; pour into baked 9-inch pie shell and cover with meringue. Bake at 325Β° for 13 to 15 minutes.
