Sift together the flour and baking powder; set aside.
Cook butter and sugar over low heat, stirring until bubbly.
Remove from heat; cool to lukewarm.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well each time.
Add vanilla.

Spread in greased pan. Bake in preheated oven (350Β°) for about 25 minutes.
