Buttermilk Pound Cake

Cream together butter, Crisco and sugar, then add eggs.
Beat well.
Combine salt and flour in another bowl.
Add soda dissolved in water to buttermilk.
Alternately add to creamed mixture buttermilk and flour mixtures.
Beat well.
Add vanilla and blend well.
Pour into greased and floured tube pan.
Bake at 300Β° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
