Buttermilk Cookies
Buttermilk Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1 c. shortening, 2 eggs, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 c. buttermilk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Cream together sugar and shortening.
Add eggs and vanilla and beat well.
In a separate bowl sift flour, soda and salt together. Combine dry ingredients to creamed ingredients alternating with buttermilk.
Mix, then add by teaspoon to cookie sheet.
Sprinkle with cinnamon/sugar before baking.
Bake at 375Β° for 10 to 12 minutes.
(This recipe halves easily.)
