Buttermilk Biscuits
Buttermilk Biscuits is an easy dinner. Made with 3 c. self-rising flour, 1/3 c. shortening (crisco) and 1 c. buttermilk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
In a large bowl, mix flour and shortening by hand (or you may use a cutter) until the mixture is crumbly.
Mix well to form a ball of dough.
Pinch off pieces of dough and form biscuits in your hand.
Press biscuits onto lightly greased cookie sheet or baking pan. "Pat" top of each biscuit so that dough will not be too thick.
Bake in 450Β° oven for 10 to 12 minutes. "Brown" tops.
