Butter Roll Delicious
Butter Roll Delicious is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter, 1 c. sugar, divided, 1 c milk, divided, 1/2 c. water and 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Cream together butter with half cup sugar.
Mix together and bring to a boil: 1/2 cup milk, water, nutmeg and vanilla.
Make a dough out of flour, baking powder, salt, shortening and 1/2 cup milk.
Roll out 1/8-inch thick.
Spread butter and sugar mixture over this, then roll dough as for jelly roll.
Cut into 1-inch rolls and place in large shallow greased baking dish.
Pour the syrup over this and bake at 375Β° until syrup thickens, about 30 minutes.
Sprinkle with cinnamon before baking, if desired. Makes 12 servings.
